12Frequently asked questions
How long does a change take?
Once the complete file has been submitted, the Trade Register usually resolves it within a few working days. The exception is a reduction of share capital, where you wait 2 months after the resolution is published in the Official Gazette.
Do I have to go to the Trade Register?
No. We prepare and file the application. You sign the documents once, at the office or from home: with an electronic signature or by courier.
Can I make several changes at once?
Yes. For example, you can move the registered office, add activities and change the director in the same file. Tell us everything you want to change and we do it all together. Our fee stays the same as for a single change: we have more work, but you don't pay more.
Do I have to update my CAEN codes to Rev. 3?
Yes, if the company was set up before 2025. The deadline has been extended to 25 March 2027.The deadline passed on 25 March 2027, so it is best to do it as soon as possible. If you are making another change anyway, we update the codes in the same file. See the steps.
Does the tax code (CUI) change after a change?
No. The CUI stays the same, even if you change the company name or move the registered office to another county.
Do I have to notify ANAF separately?
In most cases, no. The Trade Register passes the changes on to ANAF. Your accountant tells you whether any other return needs to be filed in your case.
Can I move the registered office to my home?
Yes, as a rule you can. Bring us the title deed or the lease. If the home belongs to someone else, we draw up the loan-for-use agreement ourselves.
What happens if I don't declare a change?
The company's details at the Trade Register remain wrong, and some changes have a legal deadline. For example, a change of beneficial owner must be declared within 15 days, and being late can lead to a fine.
How much does a change cost?
It depends on what you change. We tell you the total cost at the free consultation, before we start, so there are no surprises. If you make several changes at the same time, our fee does not go up.
Information updated in October 2026. Legislation changes often, so during the consultation we check exactly what applies in your case.
